In coating and film industries, usage of LLDPE-LDPE blends is increased gradually because of physical, processing and optical properties. In general, there are two blending methods for mixing different kinds of polymer resins. The one is a dry blending method that different kinds of polymer resins are just mixed by a mixer or hands. Another is a melt blend method that different kinds of polymers are mixed by the extruder. In this study, the characteristics of LLDPE-LDPE melt blends are compared with those of dry blends in coating and blown film applications. |
