제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Gelatin and PEG hybrid Hydrogels for biomedical applications
초록 Gelatin and PEG hydrogels have been used as promising biomaterials due to their great physicochemical properties. Previously, we reported gelatin-PEG-tyramine hydrogel to improve gelatin solubility and mechanical properties. Although hydrogels have tunable physicochemical properties, study on the effect of PEG parameters on hydrogel was not conducted. In this study, we prepared in situ forming gelatin/PEG hybrid hydrogels. The bioactivity and various mechanical properties of hybrid hydrogels could be manipulated and enhanced by varying the composition and length of PEG. Moreover, in vivo study using mouse model showed superior tissue adhesiveness, regeneration, and hemostatic ability compared with fibrin glue (Greenplast®). we could suggest the gelatin/PEG hybrid hydrogels with desirable physicochemical properties for a wide range of biomedical applications.
