제목 Core-Shell Polymer Nanorods Prepared from Reactive Polymer Bilayer via Sequential Wetting
초록 One dimensional core-shell structure consisting of two or more materials with enhanced physical (or mechanical) and electric-optical properties many attentions due to its application to high efficient light emitting diodes (LEDs), p-n junction solar cells, and protective clothing. Here, we introduce a simple but efficient method to fabricate the hexagonally packed polymeric core-shell polymer nanorods by sequential wetting of a reactive polymer bilayer inside a nanoporous anodized alumina template. Poly (methyl methacrylate) with epoxy functional group as a core and polystyrene with an end functionalized carboxylic acid as a shell were used in this study. The sizes of the core and the shell are easily controlled by adjusting the thickness of each layer. The arrays of the vertically aligned core-shell nanorods maintained without falling down the substrate, after AAO templates were removed.
