The customer wants the display having low cost, natural image and light weight. Especially, the AMOLED is optimized to realize dynamic image comparing to TFT-LCD. The indispensable back light, liquid crystal and color filter in TFT-LCD are no longer needed in AMOLED and cost effective is achieved. The AMOLED also has advantage to display moving image due to the wide viewing angle, high contrast ratio and fast response time. Based on the cost down and quality improvement of a-Si and LTPS TFT, LPL concentrates on research of new structure of top and bottom emission and enhancement in EL material's lifetime and performance, Also, essential techniques for large size TV are under development. |
