Preparation and characterization of Langmuir-Blodgett Films containing cyanostilbene derivatives |

We prepared cyanostilbene derivatives with various functional groups and investigated optical property to consider functional group effects on the aggregation. Cyanostilbene derivatives were spread onto the water surface as a monolayer and then Langmuir films were transferred onto solid substrates by the vertical dipping method at constant surface pressures. Optical properties of LB films composed of cyanostilbene derivatives were measured by UV-vis spectra and PL spectra. The morphology of surface monolayers has been characterized by means of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). |
