In the present work, we used a reduced γ-Al2O3 support with unsaturated penta-coordinate Al3+ (Al3+penta) site, which can anchor catalytically active phases. The hydrothermal stability and catalytic activity of Pt-BaO-CeO2/Al2O3 and Cu-CeO2/Al2O3 (PBCrA + CCrA) were tested as a low-temperature lean NOx trap catalyst. XRD, HR-TEM, CO and N2O chemisorption, and N2 physisorption data displayed that catalytic materials (Pt, Cu, BaO, and CeO2) were intact even after the hydrothermal aging at 750˚C for 25 h. Additionally, CO-TPR and ex situ XPS analyses indicate that the high low-temperature activity is also related to the good reducibility of lattice oxygen on the CeO2 of the PBCrA + CCrA catalyst. |
