Inhibition effects of borate additives on Al corrosion in Li imide-based electrolyte for Li ion batteries |
초록 |
Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), the most popular Lithium (Li) salt for commercial lithium ion batteries (LIBs), is known to suffer from poor thermal stability and easy hydrolysis. Li-imide salts such as lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl) imide (LiFSI) can be a good alternative to LiPF6 considering their better thermal and chemical stabilities. Li-imide salts, however, cause severe corrosion of aluminum (Al) current collectors of LIB cathode. To solve the corrosion problem of Al for imide-based electrolytes, the effects of the addition of Li borate additives are examined. |
