제목 Inhibition effects of borate additives on Al corrosion in Li imide-based electrolyte for Li ion batteries
초록 Lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6), the most popular Lithium (Li) salt for commercial lithium ion batteries (LIBs), is known to suffer from poor thermal stability and easy hydrolysis. Li-imide salts such as lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl) imide (LiFSI) can be a good alternative to LiPF6 considering their better thermal and chemical stabilities. Li-imide salts, however, cause severe corrosion of aluminum (Al) current collectors of LIB cathode. To solve the corrosion problem of Al for imide-based electrolytes, the effects of the addition of Li borate additives are examined.
