Nanocrystals have been shown to be promising materials for various device applications because of their size-dependent electronic and optical properties and solution processability. We present general methods to engineer the electronic, optoelectronic, electromechanical, and electrothermal properties of nanocrystals through ligand engineering. Unconventional material designs and strategies are introduced to fabricate semiconducting devices and wearable sensors. This technique provides a pathway for designing low cost, high performance, and multifunctional devices and sensors. |
