A Study on the Catalytic Activity of Noble Metal Nanoparticles on Reduced Graphene Oxide for Oxygen Evolution Reactions in Lithium-Air Batteries |

Selected noble metal nanoparticles supported on rGO were evaluated as oxygen evolution reaction (OER) catalysts in Li-air cell cathodes. All of the noble metals employed showed reduction in charge potentials, and among them Ru-rGO hybrids exhibited the most stable cycling performances. While Pt-rGO and Pd-rGO decomposed the electrolyte during cycling, no electrolyte instability was observed with Ru-rGO. Mechanistic study on the role of noble metals was performed. |
