제목 | Effect of electrolytes for the high performance supercapacitors |
초록 | Supercapacitors have the undoubtable advantage of a high power and long cycle life over other electrical energy storage devices. Yet, the energy of supercapacitors is limited which is a few hundredth lower than that of batteries. Various strategies were applied to resolve energy issues of supercapacitors such as expanding operating voltage and replacing the electrode with the one used in batteries. When these attempts are tried, the electrolytes for the system take a very important role which makes the cell operating properly. The role of electrolytes was studied using two types of supercapacitor such as EDCL and lithium ion capacitors (LIC). For EDLC, suitable electrolyte system under high voltage condition was investigated for improving the energy. On the other hand, the feature of electrolytes for LIC was focused on improving the cell performance at low temperature. Detailed results will be discussed at the meeting. |
