제목 Controlled Synthesis of Polymer Brushes Grown from Silica Particle Using Living Anionic Surface Initiated Polymerization (LASIP)
초록 The synthesis of polydiene brushes grafted from modified nanoparticulate silica by LASIP were described. Immobilized double bonds on the surface of the nano-silica particles were first initiated using s-BuLi in the presence a variety of additive such asTMEDA, t-BuoL and i-Bu3Alrespectively.Follwing the sequence ofpolymerization by addition of monomer and termination gave polymer brushes. The importance of careful activation of the particle initiator, control of polymerization conditions, and removal of excess BuLi were emphasized. The microstructure of polymer brushes and grafting efficiency as well as grafting density could be controlled with variation of reaction conditions.
