제목 Synthesis and characteristics of Polymer Brushes Grown from Modified Silica Particle via Living Anionic Polymerization
초록 The synthesis of polydiene brushes grafted from modified nanoparticulate silica by living anionic surface initiated polymerization(LASIP) were described. Immobilized double bonds on the surface of silica particles were first initiated using sec-buthyl litium in the presence of additives, such as N,N,N’,N’-tetramethylethylenediamine , lithium tert-butoxide and Triisobuty aluminum respectively. It was important to activate the particle initiator, control polymerization conditions and remove excess sec-BuLi. The microstructure of polymer brushes and grafting efficiency as well as grafting density could be controlled with variation of reaction conditions.
