To improve C-rate and cyclic stability of MAG graphite with good discharge capacity, graphite was composited with GFms with highly porous structure. The pores inside the particles can be expected to play a role of pathway of lithium-insertion/extraction. The graphite/GFm composite was prepared using graphite, mesophase pitch and polyvinyl alcohol-acrylic acid (PVA-AAc) solution as filler, carbon source and polymer based template, respectively. The physical and electrochemical properties of the graphite/GFm composite were examined and their properties were compared to those of MAG graphite properties. |
