제목 | Interfacial Characterization and thermodynamic properties of surfactant-polymer system |
초록 | Interfacial characterization of the Sodium dodcyle sulphate (SDS) and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) are performed with the MBPT. Understanding of the interaction between surfactant-polymer and between surfactant monomers itself is very important for the strength and stability of the colloidal particles. Surfactant efficiency is explained with the change in surface tension reduction. The surfactant effectiveness explains the SDS-PVP interaction with their binding ability. As the concentration of polymer increases, the surfactant effectiveness value moves towards the negative indicating the fact that surface tension increases with the polymer concentration increase and diffusion rate of surfactant to interfacial surface also decreases. At low polymer concentrations the long time diffusion coefficient decreases than short time due to the back diffusion process. |
