제목 Flexible organic light emitting diodes with microlens array patterned parylene substrate
초록 Typical organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) can emit only 20~30% of generated light, which is a major factor that reduces the external efficiency of OLEDs. Methods to improve the out-coupling efficiency of OLEDs include microlens arrays (MLA), light scattering films and nano-structure formation. The microlens array is used to suppress the waveguide loss of generated light through the substrate of OLEDs. Additionally, poly-para-xylylene (parylene) is introduced for thin film encapsulation (TFE) materials and flexible OLEDs substrates with various advantages such as low permeability of moisture and oxygen and coating property without pin-hole formation. In this study, we fabricated the flexible OLEDs using microlens array patterned parylene substrate by deposition of parylene on MLA film and delamination process. The maximum efficiency of fabricated OLEDs was enhanced than that of conventional OLEDs with the same structure.
