MOF is a porous, crystalline material in which metal clusters and organic ligands are strongly bound. It has micro/meso pores with a large specific surface area. when MOF is used as an electrocatalyst, oxidation-reduction reaction occurs actively in a large surface area, so it is good for making an energy device having high energy storage capacity and performance. Zr-MOF-808 is composed of Zr-SBUs connected to six 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate (BTC) linkers to form a 3D porous framework containing two different types of pores. These two pore modes increase mass transfer for reactions, suggesting its potential application as electrocatalyst support. In this study, MOF-808 was loaded with Pt and used as an ORR catalyst. After loading Pt, post-treatment was performed to further improve the electrical performance. As a result, it was confirmed that ORR performance was higher than that of commercial Pt/C catalyst, and in particular, stability was superior to that of commercial Pt/C. |
