제목 Injectable biodegradable MPEG-PCLA diblock copolymer for osteogenic differentiation of human turbinate mesenchymal stem cells
초록 Recently, injectable hydrogels have attracted in a wide range of biomedical applications. Here, we examined the utilization as injectable hydrogel of MPEG-b-PCL and MPEG-b-(PCL-ran-PLLA) diblock copolymers for in vivo osteogenic differentiation of human turbinate mesenchymal stem cells (hTMSCs). The aqueous solutions of diblock copolymers existed in an injectable sol-state at room temperature and immediately became a gel-state at body temperature, indicating acting as an injectable in situ-forming hydrogel. The hTMSCs well attached and proliferated on the interconnective pore substrate created by in situ-forming hydrogel. Subcutaneous injection of hTMSCs in the hydrogel demonstrated that hTMSCs in the gel implants showed differentiation toward an osteoblastic phenotype. In conclusion, hTMSCs embedded in an in situ-forming hydrogel may provide numerous benefits as a non-invasive alternative for tissue engineered bone formation.
