Novel BBL/Graphene composite |

The electrical conductive polybenzimidazobenzophenanthroline (BBL)/graphene composite was made by using graphite oxide (GO) and reduced-graphite oxide (r-GO). Various reducing agents were applied to make r-GO via different methods. Methansulfonicacid (MSA) is used as a solvent for BBL and GO (and r-GO). R-GO sheets was achieved by wrapping and adsorbing polymers under the binding force of pipi interactions. Composite films were made by casting. The electrical conductivity was improved by heat treatment of the BBL/graphene composite film at 300 oC. Combination of chemical and thermal reductions gave the best electrical conductivity of the BBL/graphene composite film. Other optical and thermal properties were investigated. |
