Photocatalytic performance of TiO2/CNT-graphene nanocomposites under UV and visible light |

Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/TiO2/multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)-graphene were prepared in order to examine the photocatalytic activities. TiO2 nanoparticles were located uniformly on the surface of MWCNT-graphene. Anatase TiO2 is used as photocatalyst for the degradation of various environmental pollutants. MWCNTs were used to prevent the restacking of graphene sheets and graphene was used to improve the adsorption of pollutant. The morphology was investigated by scanning electron microscope. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by UV spectrometer based on the degradation of various model dyes under visible and UV light. The enhanced photocatalytic performance is attributed to the well dispersion of TiO2 and the effective adsorption of pollutants by graphene. |
