제목 Fabrication of Hybrid Nanoparticle for Dual-functional Plasmon-Magnetic
초록 Silica-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have great potential for use in various bioapplications owing to their unique properties, which can be manipulated by an external magnetic field gradient. Also, clustered gold nanoparticles can generate surface plasmons that absorb light and enhance an electromagnetic field by the collective and resonant excitation of free electrons. In this study, we report a plasmonic and magnetic material using gold NPs immobilized on a silica shell. The monodispersed (104.2 nm ± 2.4 nm) silica coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNP@SiO2 NPs) were synthesized in gram scale. MNP@SiO2 NP showed superparamagnetism and stored for 3 months, and no aggregation was detected. The plasmon and magnetic materials using MNP@SiO2@Au NPs were also prepared by simply adding Au NP to magnetic NPs. Also, they were showed strong response to an external magnet, and showed 500 % higher light scattering than single gold NPs of the same size.
