제목 Dextran coated magnetic nanoclusters as highly sensitive contrast agents using pyrenyl dextran for magnetic resonance imaging of inflammatory macrophages
초록 We fabricated dextran coated magnetic nanocluster (Dex-MNCs) for targeted magnetic resonance imaging of inflammatory macorphages. Dex-MNCs were prepared through encapsulation of hydrophbic magnetic nanocrystals (MNCs) by pyrenyl dextran simultaneously capable of self-seembly as well as surface modification of dextran to strongly interact with macrophages. We confirmed Dex-MNCs exhibited high MR sensitvity by clustered formation of MNCs with biocompatibility and superior uptake ability against macrophages. Consequently, Dex-MNCs were demonstrated to have sufficient capability of targeted macrophage imaging with strengthened MR contrast effect.
