제목 Uniform Amphiphilic Janus Microparticles Anisotropically Hybridized with Metal Nanoparticles
초록 This study introduces a straightforward method for synthesis of anisotropically decorated Janus microparticles. For this, we first synthesize amphiphilic Janus microparticles by using the seeded monomer swelling and consecutive polymerization. To provide electrical property to one of bulb surfaces, the vinyl acetate in the polystyrene seed bulb is transferred to vinyl alcohol by saponification. Then, magnetic nanoparticles are attached on the polyethyleneimine(PEI) groups on the bulb of the Janus microparticles. Finally, we show that our magnetic-patchy Janus microparticles can assemble to form stable O/W Pickering emulsions which are easily recoverable under external magnetic field.
