제목 Synthesis of polypyrrole/montmorillonite /silver hybrid materials through one step in situ emulsion polymerization for multifunctional property
초록 Polypyrrole/montmorillonite/silver (PPy/MMt/Ag) hybrid materials were prepared through in-situ emulsion polymerization in the presence of unmodified montmorillonite, dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid as an emulsifier and AgNO3 as a direct oxidant. The results showed the partial exfoliation of the clay and highly site-specific interaction between protonated PPy (N+) and negatively-charged Si-O-Si groups of the MMt. The thermal stability of the composites was higher than that of PPy sample. The electrical conductivity of the composites increases with the decrease of the MMt content and highest as 7.1 S/m. The presence of silver facilitated the formation of materials with excellent antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli bacteria. It was depicted that composites obtained in the present study can reduce 86 % of methylene blue within few minutes.
