제목 Impact of Torrefaction on properties of Waste Wood to enhance solid fuel qualities Fuel
초록 The vast amount of biomass wastes such as waste wood shows potential as a support for future energy. With growing environmental consciousness, high petroleum prices and depleting fossil fuels, it draws country’s attention to get support and utilize it as it is present in abundance. This research studies the effect of torrefaction temperature (150°C to 600°C) on energy yield, VOC and ash content. The energy yield remains sufficiently high above 90% for torrefaction temperature, which is below 400°C. The effect of holding time (0 to 50 minutes) has also been studied. The gas emission analysis during the torrefaction process has also been conducted to study the torrefaction range.
