Recycling waste lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) are getting attracted as the growing number of wasteLIBs become threatening the environment and organisms. The recycling processcontains the acid-leaching of the scraps of waste LIBs, where the concentrationof metal ions of leaching solution is the main variable for further process. Generally, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) is used for thespecification of the metal ion concentration of the solution. However, a high-concentrationspecimen is occasionally mismeasured due to the dilution process. Herein, we proposethe optical sensing of cobalt ions in an aqueous solution by graphitic carbonnitride (g-CN)-based all-in-one chemosensor. It is confirmed that the calibrationbetween cobalt-ion concentration (10–5~101 M) and the opticalsignal is achievable by the rational design of g-CN containing proper chemical functionalitiesand microstructures. |
