Physical properties improvement of chemically recycled Poly(ethylene terephthalate) by blending with virgin Poly(ethylene terephthalate) |
초록 |
Chemically recycled/virgin poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) blends were prepared by melt blending process for improving physical properties of the chemically recycled PET. The virgin PET was added to the chemically recycled PET with the ratio of 20, 40, and 70 wt%. The effect of virgin PET on the mechanical and thermal properties, melt flow index, thermal shrinkage and crystallinity of the chemically recycled PET/virgin PET blends were investigated in this research. Tensile test revealed that tensile strength and elongation at break of the chemically recycled PET/virgin PET blends were increased by the addition of virgin PET. The melt flow index and melt density measurements have been performed to investigate the effect of virigin PET on the melt flow of chemically recycled PET. The thermal stability of the chemically recycled PET/virgin PET blends was also investigated.
