Seawater Desalination by Direct Contact Membrane Distillation (DCMD) on Membrane Choice and Membrane Reuse |
| 초록 |
Nine types of commercially available membranes were characterized and used for DCMD process to investigate the effect of membrane difference on the permeate flux and conductivity.The following experiments were carried out by using a pore size 0.22 μm and PTFE material membrane for its high hydrophobicity and high permeate flux. The membrane fouling phenomenon was investigated after a one month running of DCMD system for real seawater. After a cleaning process, the membrane successfully reused for the DCMD system for more than four month. |
