New versatile polymer dielectric for application in organic electronics |

Polymer dielectrics play an important role in organic based electronics. Dielectrics can be used as both gate dielectric and tunneling thin layer in organic transistors and organic transistor memories. The use of organic dielectrics is limited due to low chemical resistance and high processing temperature. We devise a novel polymer dielectric with low temperature processing, and fabricated organic transistor and transistor memory using solution processed TIPS-pentacene as semiconductor. Devices fabricated on the novel dielectric show good performances with a hole mobility of 0.1 cm2/V.s for transistors and a memory window of 15V for transistor memories. |
