4-Nitrophenol (4-NP) is one of the most ubiquitous organic contaminants that are carcinogenic and toxic for both animal and human. It confers strong chemical stability and resistance to natural degradation processes. Therefore, the detection and monitoring of 4-NP in environmental samples is necessary to avoid its detrimental effect. In this study, mesoporous carbon nitride-prussian blue (g-C3N4-PB) nanohybrid is synthesized for electrochemical detection of 4-NP. The g-C3N4-PB is characterized by XRD, FT-IR, BET, FE-SEM, and EDX. The electrochemical performance of g-C3N4-PB is studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) using glassy carbon electrode (GCE). The fabricated g-C3N4-PB/GCE sensor exhibits an outstanding performance towards 4-NP detection. |
