제목 Effect of polysilazane insulation layer of soft magnetic powder core
초록 Soft magnetic powder cores have characteristics of low core loss, reduced power consumption, and high magnetic flux density, so they are used in powder inductors of high-performance motors and electronic products. When manufacturing the soft magnetic powder core, it is most important to perform heat treatment to remove the residual stress accumulated inside due to high molding pressure, and to lower the loss by coating the surface of the molded metal powder with a high-resistance insulating layer. As an insulating material having high resistance and high hardness, inorganic coatings such as phosphate and oxide or thermosetting resins are widely used. However, in order to keep the permeability of the core to the maximum, the amount of insulating material between the powder particles must be minimized and the amount of iron (Fe) must be maximized. Therefore, the characteristics of an insulating material having a thin thickness and high hardness of the insulating layer are required.
In this study, by using polysilazane, a kind of silicon compound having a Si-N bond skeleton, it was attempted to increase the surface hardness by releasing NH3 and H2 molecules at high temperature and forming a dense high-hardness SiO2 film. In addition, by adding Benzoyl peroxide as an initiator, the temperature of the curing reaction could be lowered than that of conventional silicone resins. The thin film composed of polysilazane showed a high pencil hardness of 9H even at a temperature lower than the curing temperature of conventional silicone resins. A soft magnetic powder core having a high magnetic permeability (μ'=63) and a high specific resistance (107 Ω˙cm) was prepared at Bm=100mT. The polysilazane organic-inorganic composite insulating layer of a soft magnetic powder core having a low core loss (Loss) can maintain stable magnetic properties even at a high heat treatment temperature.
