TheSyntehsis ofEthylene/1-Decene/para-Methylstyrene Terpolymer |

In this study, we synthesized ethylene/1-decene/para-methylstyrene terpolymer made of mainly ethylene. For the synthesis of the terpolymer, we used 300mL of high-pressure reactor and bridged type Zr metallocene catalyst system. Catalytic activity increases as the contents of 1-decene increases, whereas it decreases as the contents of para-methylstyrene increases. After purification procedures of terpolymer by soxhlet distillation method, we measured catalytic activity of the terpolymer. we verified molecular weight and molecular weight distribution by high-temperature GPC. We characterized the structure of the terpolymer by Infrared spectroscopy and proton NMR(Nuclear Magnetic Resonance). |
