Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis (FTS) reaction is a heterogeneous catalytic process to obtain a wide range of value-added hydrocarbons from syngas. In our previous study, the ZrO2 incorporated highly ordered mesoporous Fe2O3 showed an increased catalytic activity and stability due to an enhanced structural stability. In the present study, MgO-incorporated Fe2O3 were studied by using a nano-casting replica method. The ordered mesoporous Fe2O3-MgO bimetal oxides showed an improved catalytic activity at an optimal molar ratio of Mg/Fe at ~ 0.25. It might be originated from the robust preservation of the ordered mesoporus structures as well. In order to verify the properties of the as-prepared catalysts, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) analysis, and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) were carried out. |
