제목 Ligand dependent particle size control of PbSe quantum dots
초록 The electronic and optical properties of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have recently attracted much attention due to their interesting physical nature and potential utility in applications. PbSe, with a band gap in the mid-infrared and a relatively large effective Bohr radius (aB = 18 nm), is as interesting materials for infrared application. Various colloidal synthetic routes for synthesizing PbSe quantum dot nanoparticles have been developed in the last couple of years. In this work, a high dispersible colloidal PbSe was synthesized using lead oleate, TOP-Se (TOP: Tri-n-octylphosphine), and different amount of acetic acid in high boiling coordinating solvents. It was observed by TEM that the size of PbSe quantum dots was greatly increased with increasing acetic concentration in the system. Plausible reasons on the dependence of PbSe particle size with acetic acid will be discussed.
