In this work, we designed fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-labeled PEO-PCL-PEO triblock copolymers for nano- and micro-encapsulation were synthesized and used in the investigation of permeation behavior of the capsules through the skin layer. For the effects of hydrophobicity of the copolymers, the ratios of PCL to PEO ([CL]/[EO]) were fixed from 0.19 to 0.48. The properties of triblock copolymers were observed using GPC, DSC, 1H NMR and POM. Characteristics of the tri-block copolymers as amphiphilic surfactant were confirmed by DLS, UV and fluoro-spectrophotometer. The application of FITC-labeled triblock copolymer as a wall material in the study of transdermal delivery of skin active materials will be discussed (NGNT No. 10024160 and 10024146). |
