Performance Tests of an Aluminium Alloy Heat Pipe with Micro-sized Inner Fins and Thermal Fluid |
초록 |
Alloy design of the aluminium alloys and various performance tests to obtain mechanical properties and corrosion resistance were carried to make a heat pipe with micro-sized inner fins working at the temperature higher than 200oC and simultaneously retaining a similar thermal conductivity of a pure aluminum. The heat pipe was fabricated by deep drawing. The aluminum materials of the heat pipe showed the improved mechanical properties such as 38% micro-hardness, 45.8% yield strength and 53.5% ultimate tensile strength, respectively. It was related to grain size refinement and work hardening effects. The corrosion rate of the aluminum alloy in artificial sea water at room temperature decreased from 0.110 mpy to 0.107 mpy, which was related to alloy effect. Thermal fluid inside the heat-pipe with micro-sized inner fins resulted in significantly enhancing its thermal conductivity. |
