Membranes having microporosity have been widely researched for various applications including gas separation, water treatment, and catalysis. Microporous organic polymers (MOPs) have potential for the fabrication of microporous membranes due to their advantages such as high surface areas, structural stability, and tunable functionality. In this study, we prepared an MOP-nanofiber composite membrane. The MOP was uniformly coated on the surface of a PVA-silica nanofiber via a Sonogashira coupling reaction. The composite membrane had superhydrophobicity and oleophilicity and showed the good oil-water separation property. |
