The preparation of defect-free MMMs with ideal polymer-filler interface with high gas separation performance are very challenging because of unfavorable interactions between the polymers and filler materials, which severally impede the utilization of MMMs for gas separation application. We report herein, a simple technique to prepare a series of PEG/PPG-PDMS-UiO66-based rubbery crosslinked MMMs (xMMM@n), where MOF is incorporated covalently into the polymer to enhance the interfacial compatibility. A significant improvement in polymer-filler interactions is observed by thermo-mechanical and morphological assessment. Synthesis, characterization, and properties of xMMM@n including gas separation performance at ambient and drastic conditions, and their theoretical evaluation will be discussed in detail. |
