Synthesis and Characterization of polymer donors based on indanedione for Solar Cells |

We designed and synthesized based on 1,3-Indandione derivatives named IND-HT-BDT and IND-HT-BDTF as electron donors for Inverted Polymer Solar cells(iPSCs). Donor-Acceptor (D-A) type of structured IND-HT-BDT and IND-HT-BDTF, which consists of IND-HT (4,7-dibromo-2-((5-hexylthiophen-2-yl) methylene)-1H-indene-1,3(2H)-dione) is electron-poor part while the benzodithiophene (BDT) or fluorinated benzodithiophene (BDTF) is the electron-rich part. And Both polymers have a broad absorption region and have band gap of 1.88eV and 1.86eV, respectively. We fabricated and tested inverted-type solar cells, which structure is ITO/ZnO/IND-HT-BDT (or IND-HT-BDTF):Y6BO/MoO3/Ag. The performance of the device based on HT-IND-BDT is 3.88% with 12.60 mA/cm2, while the device based on HT-IND-BDTF obtained 6.43% with a short-circuit current density of 13.54 mA/cm2 and, an open-circuit voltage of 0.82 V and Fill Factor(FF) of 59.10%. |
