Triphenyl phosphine (TPP), 2-(didiphenylphosphino) pyridine (DPPP), diphenyl-(2-methoxyphenyl) phosphine (DPMPP) and 2-(diphenylphosphino) benzaldehyde (DPPB) were four phosphorus containing ligands as reducing agent employed in this study with CuCl2/TPMA for MMA polymerization by ARGET(Activator Regenerated by Electron Transfer).Contrast to the typical reducing agent AIBN,the polymerization is well-controlled by only using phosphorus containing ligands. During the polymerization, the linearity of the plot of ln([M]0/[M]) versus reaction time indicates that the polymerization was approximately first-order with respect to monomer concentration.PMMA is obtained 79% conversion(Mn=27000) within 6hrs,relatively PDI=1.31. |
