제목 Inverted Bulk Heterojunction Solar CellsUsing Conjugated Polyelectrolyte Interfacial Layers
초록 We report high-efficiency inverted bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells using multi-charged conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs), poly[((((9,9-bis(4-(6-N,N,N-trimethylammonium)hexyl)phenyl)fluorene)bromide)-2,7-diyl)-alt-(benzene-1,4-diyl)] (PFP-NBr) copolymers, with increasing ionic charge carrier density as electron transporting layers (ETLs). The ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy results indicate a shift of the vacuum levels at the interface with a corresponding modification of the effective work-function of the ITO cathode. The use of CPE ETL with maximum ionic charge carrier density results in the highest power conversion efficiency (ηe ~ 4.2%) with the highest fill factor of 0.71 for the device comprising a blend of poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT) as a donor and [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PC61BM) as an acceptor, implying that tailoring ionic functionalities in the CPE system may offers the possibilities for increasing ηe of printed BHJ solar cells.
