The Effect of Counter Ion in Electrolytes on the Photovoltaic Properties |

Polyviologen (PV) derivatives have been reported as an interfacial layer material to enhance the performances of polymer solar cells (PSCs) through the formation of favorable interface dipoles at the cathode interface, which reduces the electron injection/collection barrier from the active layer to the cathode. In our study, we introduced a cationic PV derivative to different types of counteranions (CAs) to investigate the effects of different CAs in conjugated polymer electrolytes (CPEs) or polyelectrolytes as a cathode buffer layer on photovoltaic properties. Our results show that it is possible to tune and improve device performance by choosing different types of CAs in PV derivatives. |
