제목 Preparation and functional properties of  PVP/Chitosan/ TiO2: Highly controlled morphology toward the ideal wound dressing
초록 Burn wound dressings have played significant roles in daily clinical practices. The adhesive nature and permeability to oxygen together with antifungal  and bactericidal characters of chitosan is a very important property associated with the treatment of skin wounds and burns. This study investigated the physical and functional properties of chitosan films prepared with poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone)(PVP) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) in wound healing dressing. The incorporation of PVP or TiO₂ in chitosan film significantly  can reduce the production price with no effect on chitosan functionality. The results indicated that the new synthetic materials were acheived promote cell growth, increase the viability of the cells, the proliferation of fibroblast, anti-inhibit the activity of the bacteria. Therefore, it is suggested that the treament with CHT/PVP/TiO2 composite thin film will be effective also in patients with burns and other skin wounds.
