Wound healing is a spontaneous process, which have played significant roles in daily clinical practices. The main aim of this work was to prepare wound healing material with chitosan, N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (PVP), titanium dioxide (TiO2). The prepared chitosan, N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (PVP), titanium dioxide (TiO2) films were characterized for their thermal behavior, morphological properties, mechanical properties, antibacterial properties, and wound healing properties. The incorporation of PVP or TiO2 in chitosan film significantly can reduce the production price with no effect on chitosan functionality. Additionally, the results indicated that the new synthetic materials were achieved promote cell growth, increase the vitality of the cells, the proliferation of fibroblast, anti - inhibit the activity of the bacteria. Thus, it is suggested that this novel formulation with CHT/PVP/TiO2 composite thin film could be a promising system also in patients with burns and other wound dressings |
