High-Frequency Induction Heating Sintering of NiO Electrospun Nanofibers Reinforced Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics |
초록 |
In this study, a novel technique, high-frequency induction heat sintering has been introduced to improve fracture toughness of hydroxyapatite bioceramics. Composites of hydroxyapatite/NiO with 1-5 wt % of electrospun NiO nanofibers were synthesized by wet-milling technique using a mixture of hydroxyapatite nano-powder and electrospun NiO nanofibers. The mixtures were consolidated very rapidly to full density by high-frequency induction heat sintering (HFIHS). The resulting composites showed good sintering behaviors, high toughness, and hardness. Effect of NiO electrospun nanofibers content on the toughness, hardness, and microstructure properties has been studied.
