Hererin, we report sol-gel derived linearly structured siloxane encapsulated quantum dot (QD) hybrid composite (TSE-QD), which is fabricated by hydrosilylation reaction between vinyl-based siloxane matrix and hydrogen-based siloxane matrix. The matrix for TSE-QD have linear siloxane structure that can be densely molecular encapsulation of QD inducing improved stability of composite. Previously, we fabricated photo-curable SE-QD composite (PSE-QD), which have branch structured siloxane matrix and high thermal stability under harsh environment. In this study, the thermal stability of SE-QD is more improved. The fabricated TSE-QD is successfully cured by hydrosilylation with no degradation of QD even during high temperature curing process. The cured film represents much higher thermal stability (at 120 ℃ in ambient condition) compared to our previous PSE-QD. It also shows retained optical properties at high temperature & humidity condition and harsh chemicals. |
