제목 Antibody-conjugated gold nanorods for combined photodynamic and photothermal therapy of cancer  
초록 Gold nanorod (AuNR) are able to generate sufficient heat when absorbed near-infrared (NIR) light, capable of photothermal therapy (PTT). Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a type of treatment that uses light along with photosensitizer (PS) to treat cancer. Furthermore, AuNR conjugated with monoclonal antibody (mAb) which exhibits high specificity for cancer cells has been developed as a promising strategy to obtain a high therapeutic efficacy. Herein, PS and mAb-immobilized AuNRs were prepared through EDC coupling reaction for PDT/PTT combination therapy. Their physicochemical properties were investigated. In addition, singlet oxygen generation and photothermal effect of mAb-immobilized AuNR were evaluated.
