제목 Asymmetric Na-ion Storage Devices Based on Nanostructured Pyropolymers
초록 Na-ion-based energy storage devices (Na-ESDs) have attracted much attention owing to the ubiquity and plenty of Na-ions as well as a similar chemistry to Li-ion batteries. Because graphite host structure has unfavorable Na-ion capacity, nanostructured carbon-based materials (NCMs), which are pyropolymers made of celluloses by carbonization, are alternatively developed as active electrode materials. It is known that according to local carbon microstructure and surface properties of NCMs, Na-ions can be stored in both anodic and cathodic range. Pseudographitic layers and topological carbon defects can be redox hosts in the anodic potential, while extrinsic defects such as oxygen and nitrogen can store Na-ions in a cathodic potential. In this study, we successfully designed two types of NCMs using different kinds of cellulose and their devices with high electrochemical performances were achieved.
