Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Effectiveness and Mechanical Properties of Natural Rubber Compounds reinforced with Various Types of Carbon Materials |

The use of electronic devices was increased with development of electronic information technology. Accordingly electromagnetic interference has become a critical problem. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding rubber has been used as sealing materials of electronic devices to ensure EMI emissions which do not interfere with the function of the device. In this work, the EMI shielding effectiveness and mechanical properties of natural rubber compounds reinforced with various types of carbon materials were investigated. The compounds were prepared with carbon materials such as carbon blacks, milled carbon fibers, and carbon nanotubes. Mechanical properties of the compounds were also studied by tensile properties and hardness. |
