제목 Effect of Physical/Biological Stimulations on Peripheral Nerve RegenerationUsing PDOCL/Pluronic F127 Nerve Guide Conduit
초록 The causes of nerve injury have been referred to traffic accidents, tumor damages, viral infections and the side effects of neurosurgery. Their sufficient functional recovery is considered as one of the common clinical problems. In our previous study, we observed that the asymmetrically porous hydrophilized nerve guide conduit developed by our laboratory can provide good environment for nerve regeneration. In this study, we applied physical (ultrasound) and biological (nerve growth factor) stimulations at the asymmetrically porous poly(dioxanone-b-caprolactone)/Pluronic F127 NGC for more enhanced nerve regeneration. Their nerve regeneration behaviors were compared among the stimulation groups and the control group (PDOCL/F127 NGC w/o stimulation) using rat model (sciatic nerve defect). It was recognized that the both stimulations have a positive effect on the peripheral nerve regeneration through the PDOCL/Pluronic F127 NGC (This work was supported by NRF of Korea (No. 2009-0081051)).
