제목 | Cobalt oxide/Carbon nanotube nanocomposite by arc discharge method for the gas sensor |
초록 | Semiconductor type gas sensor has great sensitivity, simple structure and is easy to minimize. Also, it is known as typical gas sensor method because of its great stability. Furthermore, Nanowire based gas sensor have advantages in high sensitivity and large surface area. Existing experiment was that using the high quality of carbon nanotube(CNT) as a template to make metal oxide wire by the sputtering and heat treatment. However in this experiment, cobalt powders were mixed with graphite powders to synthesize single walled carbon nanotubes by arc discharge method. This makes a carbon nanotube and cobalt particle at the same time. This method can shorten the process and reduce the processing cost. First, Cobalt / CNT was deposited by Arc discharge method for 5 minutes at 40A on Alumina oxide substrate with the gold electrode. After immersing created Cobalt / CNT composites into the methanol to collapse. Oxidize each samples at 400℃, 700℃ to check characteristics of them by SEM, EDX, Raman, XRD. It has a morphology that cobalt and carbon nanotube agglomerated together. In order to measure the gas detection characteristics of Cobalt oxide / CNT complex produced, we flushed a variety of gases. So that we can use the resistance value from the detect program. Consequently, H2S gas has a maximum sensitivity, and most gases show the highest sensitivity at 250 ℃. |
